Rock Ya-Sin - CB

CB Rock Ya-Sin NFL Draft Profile – Temple

This kid is potentially the most exciting prospect in the draft.

Rock Ya-Sin
CB
Temple
Class Year: Senior
Height – 6’1″ Weight – 190 lbs
Twitter: @Rock_152

Strengths:

Great flexibility and hip movement. Has aggression, attitude, physicality and won’t let the receiver win anything without a fight. Good turn and run skills, and can match speed vertically with the best of them. Aggressive when coming downhill in the running game, and is a very consistent tackler. Plays well with his back to the football, and showed the ability to get his head around to play the ball. Pulled temple out of trouble many times. This kid is an exceptional talent.

Weaknesses:

Footwork can be sloppy when dealing with quicker released off the line of scrimmage. Didn’t get a lot of zone coverage work at Temple but showed the ability to play zone at the Senior Bowl. He is a little on the light side, might need to gain some muscle to be a force in the NFL against bigger, stronger receivers.

Overall Review:

Will not let anyone pass him with ease. Ya-Sin plays with great athletic ability, length, and ball skills at the cornerback position. Ya-Sin plays with great physicality carrying receivers up the stem, and at the catch point. Ya-Sin is a talent who should be looked at by every NFL team. I don’t say this about just anyone, he has the potential to be great. Remember the name. He is my pick to be the best dark horse in the Draft.
