Nauta is an old-school brawler and is one of the most violent blockers you will see in this draft. He throws opponents around like they are rag dolls, never backs down from a challenge and has been a leader of Georgia offense throughout college.
Hand placement and technique are great. Would have been great in the NFL of the 90s.
There is a lot to like about a guy who is so driven and determined to play at the highest levels.
He isn’t the quickness tight end but makes up for that with his blocking.
Was a 5-star recruit coming out of high school but was limited in Georgia’s run-heavy offense. Need to see more of his route running ability and catching passes. Didn’t get a high volume of targets. Lacks separation speed, will need to work on his route tree in the NFL.
Not going to shine in the NFL of today when you need versatility to catch and block.
#18 Isaac Nauta finds himself open for a great gain.
A poor mans Jonnu Smith
All time bad Combine. Like, terrible. He will drop to the 5th round or later for this. Incredible blocker works in his favor. Not being a great route runner and receiver does not.
Day 3 for me.
