WR Lil’ Jordan Humphrey NFL Draft Profile – Texas

Does a poor Combine spell the end for Humphrey? Find out in our Draft profile.

Lil’ Jordan Humphrey
WR
Texas
Class Year: Junior
Height – 6’4″ Weight – 220 lbs
Twitter: @LJ_Humphrey23
Combine Results:
40 Yard Dash – 4.75 seconds
Bench Press – 13 Reps (225 lbs)
Vertical Jump – 33.5 Inches
Broad Jump – 119.0 Inches
3 Cone Drill – 7.09 Seconds

Strengths:

Works best in a slot or screen formation. Solid lateral movement. Don’t expect miracles from him. He works wonders with his hands and is an old school ball carrier. Rarely see him with a loose carry. Has flashes of big plays in him but works best in a short to medium field. Nothing too long for him to chase.

Great balance and poise and can lose a man over a short distance.

Weaknesses:

Often seems unsure of himself, fails to separate enough to make life easier for himself. Is slow, like really slow. I’ve seen DLs with more speed. Carry’s the ball well when he gets it in the basket.

Giphy:

Humphrey gets enough separation to make the catch and get across for the TD.

Pro Comparison:

Cole Beasley

Overall Review:

I watch a lot of Longhorns football and I have never been impressed by him. He works as a plug and play receiver on occasion. If you play him every down, the opposition works him out and he becomes a moot point.

Throughout college so much was made of Humphrey. The has the potential to be a 2nd rounder to the right team. With the right coaching, he could be a WR1. All those things went out the window when he had one of the worst Combine days in recent memory. 4.75 – 40-yard dash for a WR is slow and 13 reps on the bench are weak.

Welcome to day three of the draft. 6th or 7th round.
