Height – 6’4″ Weight – 228 lbs
Miles Boykin is an interesting prospect to evaluate. Standing at 6’4″ 228-lbs, Boykin is a big guy that found success both in the slot and lined up outside in Notre Dame’s offense. Boykin has extremely strong hands catching the football away from his frame, and made some spectacular grabs throughout his career a Notre Dame. Boykin uses his size to his advantage in contested catch situations, and when shielding defenders off working over the middle of the field. When in the air, Boykin is able to adjust to the ball with ease and has insane control of his body for a 228-lb receiver. For not being an elite athlete, Boykin does a sneaky job of making guys miss in the open field. Boykin plays with tremendous power in his upper body which allows him to be extremely physical in his stem without getting knocked off track. Boykin loves to get involved in the blocking game on screenplays, and running plays coming on the outside.
On tape, Miles Boykin looks to be a very tight athlete. Boykins struggles to sink his hips and create separation on routes working back to the quarterback, and doesn’t possess the speed to run away from guys vertically. Due to his lack of lower body explosion, and short area quickness, Boykin has a pretty limited route tree coming out of Notre Dame. At times he can allow the football to get too deep into his chest which gives defenders time to knock the ball out of his grasps.
I'm interested to see how he tests, but in some early viewings I like what I see from Miles Boykin. Big dude, but in the games I've watched he catches the contested ball well and loves to block. pic.twitter.com/JIihBwRCul

While being limited in the athletic department, Miles Boykin can still find success in the NFL due to his reliable hands and ability to win when given a free release. Boykin has an impressive catch radius, controls his body extremely well, and catches pretty much anything thrown his way. Boykin can be used as a threat in the red-zone due to his physical traits, and physicality at the catch point. Boykin had a breakout year in 2018 catching 8 touchdowns and hauling in 59 receptions for 872 yards through the air. The NFL Scouting Combine will be huge for Miles Boykin. If he comes out an impresses in Indianapolis, we may start to hear his name mentioned a lot more in the coming months.
